  • Year 4 Radio Stars!

    A group of Year 4 pupils had a fun Monday afternoon recording with Matt Hutchinson from KCFM for his breakfast show competition 'Small Talk.' The children will be on air in December.
  • Presentation of our Silver Modeshift Award

    Hooray!! We have been awarded the Silver Modeshift Award for the school's work on increasing levels of active travel in order to improve the health and well-being of all our pupils. The JRSO's did a fantastic job at organising a range of events last year and we are thrilled to have been awarded the silver level.  Mrs Rowley, Mrs Watson and the Y5/6 JRSO's went to County Hall to collect the award at a special presentation lunch. Well done everyone!
  • Children in Need

    Children came dressed as heroes or people who inspire them to raise money for Children in Need. Reception and Year 1 worked alongside Year 6 for a morning of Pudsey fun! They decorated buns for every child in the school and created a huge Pudsey out of natural  materials. Take a look at their fantastic costumes!

    Well done to Year 6 for playing so well at the football tournament at Longcroft on Monday 9th November. We look forward to the next instalment next week! 
  • Dig it Day

    Dig it day was a great success! A willow fence was planted, beetroot harvested and used to create wonderful beetroot cakes. Borders at the front of school were planted out. Our woodland library has begun to take shape with a tree crafted from cardboard and paper, full of woodland creatures. Phil Simpson led us in our outdoor worship with the help of a feathery friend! 
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning

    A huge well done to Year 6 for planning and hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning. Over the past two weeks they have carried out lots of maths and literacy activities to prepare for the event. The coffee morning was a huge success and £340.31 was raised. Well done Year 6 for baking such delicious cakes and for serving and entertaining our guests. Thank you to everyone who supported the event.
  • Football Champions

    Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 football team. For the second year in a row we have won the small schools football tournament. The team is through to the East Riding finals in November.

  • KS2 Performances at Longcroft School

    One of the highlights of this week has been the KS2 amazing performances at Longcroft school.  Years 3,4 and 5 dance and song performances were based on themes relating to their class topics. The splendid Year 6 musical production 'YE- HA' took us back to the Wild West! Well done to all the children and staff who worked so hard to give performances that have provided us with some very special memories.
  • Big Sing!

    Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic afternoon at Bridlington Spa for the Big Sing event. They performed with children from a range of primary schools in the area.
